About NSM Sourcing
NSM Sourcing is a procurement and supply consultancy based in Ankara. We work with international companies building a supply base in Türkiye, and with Turkish organisations sourcing abroad, on the decisions that determine what they pay and how reliably they are supplied: the specification, the supply market, the tender, the contract and the supplier's performance over time.
Our approach draws on hands-on procurement experience: running tenders, auditing supplier sites, negotiating contracts and recovering purchases that had gone wrong, inside organisations in defence, energy, pharmaceuticals and industrial manufacturing.
What we stand for

- We are paid by our clients, not by suppliers. We do not accept commissions, referral fees or any other payment from the suppliers we identify, appraise or recommend, so every recommendation we make is in the buyer's interest alone.

- The processes we design give every qualified supplier an equal chance and a clear set of rules. Criteria are set before bids arrive, decisions are documented and suppliers are told the outcome.
- Integrity in every relationship.
- We declare any interest that could affect our advice, keep clients' commercial information confidential and treat suppliers with the same professionalism we expect from them.
- Evidence over opinion.
- Our recommendations are based on cost analysis, market data and what we have verified on site, and we show the reasoning behind them.

- Procedures, templates and training remain with the client, so that the improvement does not leave when we do.
How we work with clients
- Defined projects.
- A sourcing exercise, a tender, a supplier search in Türkiye or abroad, a should-cost analysis or the setup of a procurement function, with an agreed scope, timeline and deliverables.
- Ongoing support.
- Continuing support for organisations that need procurement expertise without a full-time senior hire: supplier performance management, local supplier follow-up in Türkiye or advisory support for the procurement team.
- Training.
- Workshops for procurement teams, built on the same methods we use in client work.
Leadership
Metin Kodal
Founder · Ankara
Metin Kodal is the founder of NSM Sourcing. He advises international buyers sourcing from Türkiye and Turkish organisations sourcing abroad on strategic sourcing, supplier development and cost analysis.
He has fifteen years of experience in procurement and supply in defence, energy distribution and pharmaceuticals, where he led tendering, international sourcing and supplier management, and set up structured procurement functions with documented processes and controls. Since 2025 he has advised a defence software company and an AI procurement start-up.
