Estimated reference price
Carries the price of a past purchase forward to today. For covered product families, the price is broken down into its cost elements (materials, labour, energy, freight and overheads) and each is moved with its own published index; for other products, the producer price index of the product class is used (TurkStat, US BLS or Eurostat). Exchange rates are from the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT). The result is not a quotation but an estimated reference range to use before bids arrive.
Past purchase
Search runs on the Turkish Customs Tariff, whose descriptions are in Turkish. Common English purchasing terms (e.g. "transformer", "laptop", "UPS") are mapped to it. If you know the HS code, type it directly.

About the purchase price estimate
What does the tool do?
You enter the price and date of an earlier purchase. The tool carries that price forward to today and gives an explained, estimated reference price range. The aim is a checkpoint before offers arrive; it is not a live market price.
For the product families it covers, the price is split into cost components (materials, labour, energy, freight and overheads); each component is updated with its own published price index and the result is converted with Central Bank of Türkiye exchange rates. For other products the producer price index of the product class is used; products are found by customs tariff code or by common purchasing words.
Which product families use the cost breakdown?
The cost breakdown currently exists for 5 product families:
- Power cable
- Business notebook
- Switchboard / switchgear panel
- Rack server
- Distribution transformer
Where does the data come from?
The cost components draw on 37 separate price series. Product-class indices and component series come from:
- TurkStat Domestic Producer Price Index
- U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics producer price indices
- Eurostat industrial producer prices
- TrendForce memory (DRAM and NAND) prices
- Central Bank of Türkiye daily selling exchange rate
What is the budget forecast?
If you choose a target date up to 12 months ahead, a budget forecast appears under today's result: a Base and a High scenario. The Base scenario carries each component forward with the forecasts published for it (analyst polls, futures prices, institutional projections; 67 records from 32 different publishers); the component's own past does not enter the Base scenario. The High scenario adds a margin to the Base scenario: the difference between the 75th percentile and the median of the component's price changes over the same period during the last 10 years, that is, how far its fast periods ran ahead of its usual ones (this margin is never negative). For components with alternative published yearly rates, the High scenario is set by the highest of the Base path and the paths of those sources. The forecast exists only for product families that have a cost breakdown. The index data was last updated in October 2026.
